About Me

I am a conceptual artist exploring the intersection of personal musings, conceptual thought, and broader existential themes. My work arises from a continuous dialogue between the inner and outer world, a fusion of personal reflections and universal questions on life, death, existence, and value. I aim to communicate these ideas through a distinctive approach, crafting deeply layered narratives that provoke thought and challenge perception.

My upbringing in the art world. Having a father who is a prominent gallerist and a mother who is a professional artist, provided me with a unique duality of perspectives, balancing the creative process with an entrepreneurial mindset. This background has shaped my practice and given me a solid foundation in the different facets of the art world and artistry.

My Work

My Work

My work revolves around themes that are both deeply personal and universal, translating reflections, experiences, and conceptual ideas into tangible art. I create series of exactly 11 works, each exploring a single concept in depth. The number 11 is a deliberate limitation, a personal signature, and an aesthetic challenge. This structure forces me to condense the core of an idea into a defined set, capturing its many dimensions without redundancy.

The subjects I address vary from personal thoughts to societal themes and existential questions on time, death, life, ego, value and existence. My art serves as a trigger, prompting the viewer to pause and uncover the underlying message embedded in each series. I aim to build tension between what is visible and what is implied, using titles, material choices, visual representation, and even pricing to communicate these layers of meaning. In doing so, I invite the viewer to look beyond the surface, to explore the nuances, and to engage in a deeper dialogue with the work.

I do not limit myself to a single medium. Instead, I employ a diverse range of tools to best serve the conceptual message I wish to convey. This fluid approach allows the concept itself to dictate the form, ensuring that each piece is not just a visual experience but a narrative in its own right. My work is not decorative; it exists to communicate a specific message, a glimpse into how I perceive and process the world.

Why 11?

Why 11

The number 11 is more than just a structural device, it is a personal symbol and a recurring motif throughout my life. It was my class number from elementary school through high school, my jersey number in rugby and hockey . Even my name has exactly 11 letters… Whenever there was a need to choose a number. Whether in games, sports, or even on roulette, I would instinctively pick 11. It’s a constant that has followed me through different stages of life, becoming a defining feature of my identity and now my art.

In my practice, 11 serves multiple roles. On a biographical level, it’s a tribute to a number that has always held significance for me. On a conceptual level, it is a conscious constraint that I impose on myself, forcing me to condense an idea into a set structure. This limitation creates a framework that ensures each series to be both cohesive and complete. It pushes me to explore the core of a concept from different angles, distilling its essence while maintaining clarity.

The number 11 also functions as a form of identity. A recognizable signature that sets my work apart and offers a consistent touchstone throughout the many different concepts or used media. It imbues each series with a part of who I am, making it a subtle but unmistakable mark of my personal vision.
